Drama has an important part in the program at WVCLC,
with on to two Dinner-Theatres being presented a year. The purpose of
the the Drama Department ("WVC Players & Co.") is to
serve God more fully through the interpretation of religious themes
and the development of poise, self-expression, self-control, and
Christian pride. The program seeks to address all phases of training
in the performing arts and play production (acting, singing,
interpretation, dance, pantomime, set construction, and painting;
costuming, makeup publicity, stage management, box office, business
management and stage crew). I also aims to expose others to
outstanding drama and to help individuals become proficient in oral
communication, as well as, develop their God-given talents. The skills
developed and Christian fellowship work together for greater spiritual
experience. In cooperation with the Music Department and the Food
Committee, the group has presented more than twenty nine
Dinner-Theatres. The department operates under the
leadership of a professionally trained theatre-arts
directress/actress/playwright/designer.
Membership is open to all interested persons, and assistance from the
membership and friends is always needed and welcomed.
