WVCLC is served by a thirty six member Adult choir and a
nineteen member Teen choir. The Music Staff,
all accomplished musicians, includes a chief musician
(pianist-organist), the director of music, a drummer, bas player,
flutist, saxophonist, trumpeter, pianist, and Teen Choir directress.
The purpose of the Music Department is to aid in the
uplifting of the spiritual atmosphere of our Sunday morning services,
to help persons in developing a feeling of belonging and sharing with
others, and to put to use their God-given talents.
The choir and musicians provide music for special occasions such as
funerals, Founder's Day, Dinner-Theatre productions, concerts, guest
appearances by our pastor, etc. their repertoire includes all types of
music: hymns, anthems, inspirational songs, spirituals, praise songs,
and gospel/contemporary songs.
The seven piece WVCLC BAND rehearses each Monday from
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The TEEN CHOIR (ages thirteen to nineteen)
rehearses each Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and
the ADULT CHOIR rehearses from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m.
The WVCLC MUSIC COMMITTEE is responsible for overseeing
the music program of the church.
